Just Plain Folk - The Stanwood Duo Just Plain Folk has performed in local and regional events for the last eight years. They offer a unique blend of traditional and contemporary tunes, sung with country flavored harmonies. The Wootens offer up a lot of fun and great energy every time they perform.

One Ton of Ducks - original rock & roots music from Camano Island. Crafty "front room concert" singer/songwriter originals with scorching guitars, keyboards, and soaring harmonies. Dynamic but not obtuse, melodic but not cloying, topical but not didactic, sentimental but not morose, clever but not flashy. All band members are songwriters as well: Mark Dodge sings and plays guitar, keys, and ukulele; Roger Ludwick sings and plays guitar and keys; Wende Hilyard sings and plays percussion and a cute little keyboard; Patrick Donicht plays bass and percussion; and Thomas Kemper keeps all four limbs busy playing the living crap out of his drums. The band released their first CD, Floaters, in September 2008, which is available at Seagrass Gallery on Camano Island, or on the band's web site: www.onetonofducks.com
Pocket Monkey - Putting Pocket Monkey into a specific genre is all but impossible. They are a 7-piece band playing intricate original jazz arrangements with diverse influences including Eastern European melodies, traditional jazz riffs, Frank Zappa, and drastic horns. Some of the most challenging music you'll ever hear. Pocket Monkey performances are very rare, so don't miss out on their one regularly scheduled performance in June of each year at the History of the World Part IV Gallery. Contact Patrick Donicht or see www.theaudiovortex.com for more information.
Pattie Vail - Pattie is a Camano Island guitarist with an eclectic background. Her jazz roots and flamenco studies, along with classical, blues and Indian music influences, combine for a smooth, vivid sound. She will create a loosely improvised, hypnotic soundscape as the sun waxes over Camano Island. Melody Maker magazine said of Pattie, “Guitar is her forté, and she makes a nice sound with it.” Pattie has a long and varied performance resumé, including appearances in Europe, London, and Seattle's Bumbershoot, and studied at London’s Royal Academy of Music. Contact Pattie (360-387-4323) for booking information.
Pepe & Sue - Citizens of the world - and Camano Island - the redoubtable duo Pepe and Sue perform a unique blend of country, folk, and blues. They travel the West and Southwest, performing and jamming with traditional and popular musicians, bringing a little bit of pioneer spirit back to Camano each time. Their performances are comfortable, natural, and enjoyable. Contact Pepe for more information.
Ronnda Cadle - Ronnda is a recent transplant to Camano Island, and has a very impressive musical resume that you can read a lot more of here. She writes and plays contemporary instrumental acoustic guitar music, both as a solo artist and with the group The String Poets. Featured on the Public Radio International program Echoes, and recently selected to provide several songs for the PBS television program and Web site Roadtrip Nation, Ronnda began playing guitar in her hometown of Baltimore in 1985. Ronnda credits her musical influences (including Nancy Wilson, Caroline Aiken and Emily Saliers) for shaping her as both a guitar player and as a person. "I wouldn't be the player I am today if it were not for these strong and amazing women. I hope to bring my own voice to the generations of women who follow." For more info see www.ronndacadle.com
The Acoustic Detour - Take a detour with this metamorphic band of Camano Island musicians playing their take on slightly psychedelic bluesy folk-tinged rock and roll. Join them on their ride through a wide variety of familiar tunes with a few originals tossed in. The band currently consists of Cathy Tibert on vocals, acoustic guitar, flute and harmonica; Mark Bamber on lead guitar and vocals; Paul Tibert on bass guitar; and Scott Tracewell on drums and percussion. They’ll surely have your spirits up singing and dancing along with their infectious jams and grooves.

For more about the band, see www.theacousticdetour.com.

Selena Tibert - Selena Tibert is only 13 years old and is turning out to be quite a prolific songwriter. In 2008, she has already released her first CD, entitled "Love and Lyrics." She performs solo, and sometimes plays some of the songs on this record with her  parents' band, The Acoustic Detour. She is on her way! Here's a newspaper article about her.

You can contact Selena through www.theacousticdetour.com

Smitton - Lisa and Tony are making an impression on the Camano Island/Stanwood music scene, performing traditional standards from the 40's & 50's, Blues, and Classic Rock. Vocalist Lisa Smith has paired with singer songwriter Tony Britton to create the acoustic duo called "Smitton" providing entertainment for weddings, garden parties, wine tasting and restaurants.  Experience their strong vocals creating beautiful harmony, with jazzy guitar accompaniment; you won't be disappointed!

The Rockaway Beach Band - The band formerly known as Renegade Radio, these guys can deliver an intimate evening of great acoustic blues, or a rockin' night of dancing and entertainment, with guitarists Mark Bamber and Jeff Lemaich, drummer Dan Lemaich, and bassist Hugh Pastoriza. Specializing in blues and "blue-eyed soul," The Rockaways perform songs by Van Morrison, J.J Cale, Peter Green, Albert King, B.B. King, Fleetwood Mac and many others. Email Mark Bamber for more information.
The South End String Band - A “fiddle tunes big band,” the South End String Band have created quite a name for themselves in the Stanwood-Camano area. Comprising eleven local musicians on fiddle, guitars, banjos, dulcimers, autoharp, percussion, washboard, easel, sandpaper, etc., the South End Band plays music everybody knows, and peppers each performance with a generous helping of down-home wit and wisdom, served up by their anonymous spiritual advisor, Skeeter Daddle. The hardest working band on Camano Island has released three CDs, Victims of Unbridled Ambition, Legends in their Own Minds, and Cabin Fever, all recorded on Camano Island. Contact contact Eric Schweiger for booking info, or see www.bigquack.com for more information.
Walt Werme - Champion fiddler Walt Werme, a former professional fiddler, won a number of fiddling championships in his career, and is currently ranked third among senior division fiddlers nationwide. Contact Walt at 360-387-4207.

The Stilly River Band / The Splinters - Performing together for more nearly two decades, the Stilly River Band delivers an exciting range of music, from bluegrass to progressive folk, Latin, Irish, rock and rhythm 'n blues. Their bluegrass arrangement of Sam & Dave's soul classic, Hold On, I'm Comin' will put a smile on your face for the rest of the day. Known by some as “the bad boys of bluegrass”, the Stillys play and eclectic mix of music from traditional bluegrass to other less conventional styles played in a bluegrass format that the band labels “rude grass.” The band features John Amber-Oliver on lead vocals and guitar, Jonathon Schneider on tenor harmonies and banjo, Stuart Torgeson on dobro and accordion, John Daugherty on vocals and stand up bass, Steve Stolpe on vocals and mandolin and Mike Schway on fiddle. The Stilly River Band delivers accomplished musicianship, excellent vocal harmony and an always entertaining and unpredictable show. Looking for a cross between Earl Scruggs and the Tempations? These are your guys! Contact John Amber-Oliver (360-629-2618) for booking information. The Splinters are a classic rock band whose core members are also Stilly boys. Their take on classic rock is unique as well - how about a ska version of Papa Was A Rolling Stone? They keep smiles on people's faces and the dance floor filled. Call John-Amber Oliver 360-629-2618.
