Great bands,
food, and a killer
sound system at the rock party of the summer.
You'll be dancing uncontrollably, so for your own safety, better fortify yourself between
bands with barbecue from The Camano Roaster, coffee and snacks
from The Elger Bay Cafe, pizza, refreshments, band CDs, t-shirts,
and miscellaneous "merch."
Master of
Ceremonies: DJ Marty Riemer from KMTT
103.7 The Mountain.
10:15pm
- Left Hand Smoke - A bluesy young band from the Pacific
Northwest, these guys have you up on your feet from the moment
they start the first song. LHS headlines sold out shows at top venues
throughout
the region, including the 1000+ capacity Showbox in Seattle.
Critics cite various influences in the band's sound, favorably
comparing their music with that of The Allman Brothers, The
Rolling Stones, The Band, Dave Matthews, The Black Crowes, Van
Morrison, Little Feat and Marvin Gaye.
The LHS song "Blue Eyes
Shinin" was featured on the top-rated NBC-TV show
"ER." In additon to airplay on college radio, the band
broke through on major commercial radio when their song "Step
Outside" spent more than four months in regular rotation on
Seattle's KMTT "The Mountain."
For one year, Left Hand
Smoke's self-titled CD was ranked either #1 or #2 in North America
on Amazon.com's Emerging Artists Blues Chart; for the same period,
the disc has remained in the Top-10 in North America on the
emerging Artists Rock Chart; seven months in the Top-5. Click

9:00pm
- Flowmotion - In Flowmotion's music,
rock, funk, reggae, bluegrass
and traditional African & Latin
influences converge to create a sound that keeps Flowmotion's
audience moving from start to finish. Add in the band's trademark
tribal drumming, scorching guitar wizardry and stratospheric
jamming, and the result is one of the most gratifying, uplifting
and inspiring live music experiences around. Click

8:00pm
- World 7 - Together for over 4 years,
Camano Island's own World 7 plays sonically intense
progressive/world rock. Their music visits a myriad of styles from
metal to ska, and these guys pull it all together with
intensity and style. The group includes Travis Law, Mike Pearson, Brian
Fisher, and Mike Vance. Click

7:15pm
- East of the Equator - East of the Equator is a fresh new
rock band, featuring Travis Roberson (vocals), Ric Autumn (lead
guitar), Erik East (guitar), Mike West (bass), and Chad Channing,
formerly of Nirvana (drums). Their
new album, "Painted Road" was recorded, mixed, and
mastered at Greenhouse Studios in Burnaby, BC, and was produced by
Pat "Sajak" Sharman, who co-produced Nickelback's
"Silver Side Up" album. Click

6:30pm
- Exit 212 - This is a group of
talented
Stanwood High School students
(and one graduate) playing a style of rock music known as emo,
which is characterized by heartfelt (emotional) vocals and
subdued instrumentation. Their impressive concept demo EP, "Harmless"
shows great promise. Could they become the biggest band from
Stanwood since Bundle of Hiss? Come see for yourself. Exit 212 is
Brandon Lovejoy (guitar), David Traynor (bass), Cameron
Thaut (vocals), Ryan Christianson
(drums), and new member Jesse Hammond (guitar). Click here for more
